Roderick graduated from the University of Groningen. From 1977 to 2024, he practised as a solicitor in areas including company law, private international law, aviation law and general civil law. Roderick is now affiliated with the firm as a legal adviser. In this capacity, he focuses primarily on advising the firm’s regular clients. For example, he has been the regular adviser to an agent for airlines for more than twenty years. This mainly involves advising on the conclusion of agency agreements and the consequences should an airline wish to terminate the agency relationship. During his time as a solicitor, he was regularly consulted by a smaller airport on various legal matters and, where necessary, assisted the airport in legal proceedings.
Roderick has been a member of the European Lawyers’ Association since its foundation in 1985 and was one of its first chairmen. In 1996, he was instrumental in the establishment of the International Network of Law Firms Proteus, of which he is one of the founders.
