Kirsten has been working at Bolder Advocaten since 2011. She specialises in employment law and also works in the broad field of port and trade. She advises shipyards, shipowners, employment agencies, storage companies, pension funds, works councils and seafarers. Her clients are active in merchant shipping, offshore, shipbuilding, the yacht industry and fishing.

In addition to regular employment law, Kirsten advises on the legal aspects of working on water, for example on international employment constructions, MLC aspects, collective labour agreement issues and enforcement issues, such as challenging fines for violations of the Foreign Nationals Employment Act (Wav). Assisting companies with compliance with employment law regulations is an important part of her practice. Kirsten also advises on the registration of seagoing vessels and flag changes. She has a varied attachment and enforcement practice, often with international aspects. She also assists clients in proceedings before the Maritime Disciplinary Tribunal.
